A high quality Rooibos can be identified by its ruby colour and soft sweet characteristic and aromatic taste.

Rooibos tea is made from the dried fermented leaves of the South African shrub Aspalathus Linearis which are cut into small pieces and put in the sun to dry.

It will only grow in a small hot arid area of the Cape Province of South Africa. Rooibos is claimed to have all the anti-oxidant benefits of Camellia tea but is naturally caffeine free
